I am 26 years old.

I live with my parents. I have a BS in Aeronautical Engineering.

I have over $30K in student loans. ($400/mo.)

I make $11/hr at my current job.

I have friends who got jobs making:

NUCLEAR SUBMARINES

GUIDED MISSILES

UNMANNED COMBAT AERIAL VEHICLES

WEAPONS SYSTEMS

MILITARY SOFTWARE/HARDWARE

I have a question:

If I refuse to work for a defense contractor as an engineer, where can I get a job that doesn’t involve KILLING PEOPLE?

I realise I am fortunate enough to have a job, a home, medical coverage, food, a car, and other things.

Many aren’t.

I also realise that the reason my friends and I are is the same reason many aren’t.

I am the 99%

Interesting perspective. There are plenty of poor people in the world, but giving them jobs doesn’t cure all their ills, considering how many jobs perpetuate violence, inequality, and environmental degradation.
